If you receive an error message when you try to enter your credit card details, e.g. “Do Not Honor”- there could be many reasons for this (credit maximum exceeded, card expired, card blocked, card doesn’t have 3D Secure enabled (see below) etc.). Unfortunately, the payment provider (Bank) does not give us any additional information about what went wrong so we cannot process the payment. Therefore, please contact your bank/credit card issuer for more information about why the credit card could not be used.
Exception: ‘Invalid Format‘ error- this means an address line exceeds the 50 character limit- split address over several lines.
3D Secure is a requirement
Please note that our payment provider only accepts credit cards that use 3D Secure. The 3D Secure solution is marketed under different names as well, for example Verified by Visa, Mastercard SecureCode, etc. 3D Secure is often an extra step in the payment process where the cardholder enters a number/code that has been sent to his/her mobile phone during the payment process for extra verification. In order to sign up your credit card for this, please contact your bank or credit card issuer directly or check their website for further instructions.
Alternative Payment Options
If you have a different credit card, (with 3D Secure enabled – see above) you may try and use that one instead.
Alternatively, you can pay with PayPal. Please note that PayPal can be set up so that it is linked to a credit card or directly to your bank account. Please see PayPal’s own explanation on how to do this.
My bank says there is nothing wrong with my card – what should I do?
Please make sure to confirm with the bank that the credit card is signed up for 3D Secure (see above) – otherwise it will not be accepted by our payment provider (even if you may be able to use it for purchasing other services with providers that don’t require this level of security).
A solution that works for many of our users in this situation is to add the card to a PayPal account and then use PayPal as your payment option. That way you will still be charged on that designated card and covered by PayPal in relation to any refund/security issues.
What is Shellac?
‘Shellac’ is a particular formulation of Polish that goes on like a regular nail polish and can be applied directly to natural nails but once it is cured/set under the UV/LED Lamp, it hardens and behaves like an acrylic nail so along with long lasting colour, it can also increase the strength and durability of your nails.
It works because the UV light heats the Shellac molecules and causes them to polymerise and solidify.
A Shellac manicure can last up to 14-21 days or more once the Aftercare Advice is followed to avoid degradation by chemicals (e.g Cleaning Products) or your environment (e.g Chlorine in a swimming pool may cause discoloration of paler colours).
Does Shellac Gel Polish damage your nails?
The short answer is NO!
Shellac Gel Polishes are porous even when cured so your nails will continue to grow as normal, if not in even better condition due to the added protection of the gel layer.
Where damage can occur is during the gel removal process and it is usually caused by heavy handedness at scrapping the resin from the nail plate. As discussed in our Application Guide, you should never remove the gel polish with a metal cuticle pusher & should always re-soak stubborn product that can’t be flaked off with a cuticle stick. Nails that have come into contact with liquid are highly susceptible to damage for up to an hour.
Also, NEVER pick off your Shellac Gel Polish- it may seem harmless but the polish may take layers of your natural nail with it as you pick!
CHEMICAL COMPOSITON QUERIES
Contrary to a lot of the information provided by other brands, practically all modern nail polishes are 7-Free as the majority of those ingredients are simply not used in modern polish manufacturing anymore.
3-Free in particular is common across all Gel Polishes we’re aware of as they were the ingredients that set in the air in regular nail varnish whereas the Shellac base is Cellulose fibres in the form of acetate butyrate/butyl acetate.
With Shellac Gel Polishes, there are ingredients that may cause sensitivity at high concentrations if they come into contact with the skin or if an individual has an allergy to a particular ingredient. All care should be taken to avoid the skin when applying just to be on the safe side.
3-Free does not contain: Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde, Toluene.
5-Free does not contain the above or Formaldehyde Resin or Camphor.
7-Free does not contain the above or Ethyl Tosylamide or Andxylene
Our polish Does Not contain any of the above chemicals.
Our products are trialed and tested on colour charts/practice fingers/hands or humans- not animals.
Please contact us for a copy of the MSDS Ingredients List to clarify if you fear you may be allergic to a particular ingredient common across Gel Polish brands.
Polishes and other items are generally shipped unboxed to cut down on both waste and final cost price to the customer. We feel passionately that it’s what’s inside the bottle that counts, not the addition of colourful packaging and have received positive feedback from our customers who seem to agree!

If your order is returned to us without being delivered, we will contact you before we proceed.
